As I read the latest attack ad I received in the mail, I noticed a tactic the local Republicans use- that is, the use of a Bogeyman. In this case it was Nancy Pelosi. As the flyer said, “You wouldn’t vote for Nancy Pelosi. So why would you vote for Barbara Bollier?”
The Republicans seem to take it for granted that every Kansan hates Pelosi. They all hate her so much they can’t imagine anyone who actually wants to support Pelosi.
The have ads in the mail and on TV that seem to assume that no one likes Obamacare (Affordable Care Act). Also, every Kansan hates the idea of government control of our health care.[1]
For many Kansans private health care, the kind the Republicans, such as Roger Marshall,[2] believe so much in, has failed many them. If government control of health care brought down the price of health care or prescriptions, a lot of people would cheer it on. A lot of diabetics would like their insulin to become cheaper and affordable. They are willing to overlook such things as government control.

Of course Republicans can always count on the two push button issues- guns and abortion. There are those Republicans who ONLY care about those two issues (one or both). They care nothing about any other issue.
[1] When it comes to health care, the Republicans have
done nothing to reform it. They like the system as it is. It favors big money
at the expense of consumers. Trump is lying, just as all Republicans have lied
about reforming our health care. When one party, politician or politicians claims
to have a way to reform health care, they simply pretend they have a better
plan, they kill off the reforms and return things just as they are now.
[2] Tonight I watched Roger Marshall on KAKE TV. What a piece of shit. I never cared for this guy. But after watching him on TV, I don't remember when I've seen such a shyster and a liar. He is a real piece of work. He reminds me of Trump. I don't understand how anyone could vote for such a crook.
