Tiahrt endorsed rude outburst of disrespect by Rep. Willson

Recently the House voted to condemn South Carolina Republican Joe Wilson for his "You lie!" outburst during President Obama's address to Congress on health care. [1] While several Republicans crossed the aisle to condemn Rep. Wilson's breach of protocol, Kansas Reps. Lynn Jenkins and Todd Tiahrt again put party first by voting with Republican party leadership to condone Joe Wilson's actions. Neither have released statements about their support of Rep. Wilson.

From the resolution: [2]

“...the conduct of the Representative from South Carolina was a breach of decorum and degraded the proceedings of the joint session, to the discredit of the House.”

Seems like a pretty easy decision, but Reps. Lynn Jenkins and Todd Tiahrt showed again who they really work for: Washington Republicans.

On Monday, for reference, Gallup released a poll showing two-thirds of Americans oppose Wilson's outburst including 54% of Republicans. [3]
