There are also two other meetings: Wellington at 8:30 on the 11th (details on Organizing for America) and Coffeyville at 2pm on the 18th (also on Organizing for America). I will be at all the town hall meetings!

Tiahrt's does not have a clue as to what it is like in the REAL world. As with most politicians, he is out of touch and lives in a world quite different from the rest of humanity. I used to support him - then I heard him say that health care was not in a crisis state. My husband was laid off in January, after 33 years with the same employer. Tell me it is not a crisis when you have to figure out how to make your cobra payment, copays on prescriptions,and your house payment. Forclosure looms on the horizon as we can only make unemployment stretch so far. I am disabled and we must keep our health coverage. Mr. Tiahrt, when you live the life of a pampered Congressman, healthcare probably isn't a crisis. When you are a50 year old laid off aircraft worker, it is not only a crisis, it is the choice one must make between eating and a roof over their head.
I was at the event in Topeka this morning. I didn't realize he was exactly as much of an idiot as I had been led to believe. I've got one clip posted on YouTube and more to come.

Just found out the Tiahrt will be speaking in Hutchinson on Friday, August 28, at 2:00pm in the BJ Warner Recital Hall of Stringer Fine Arts and soccer at 4:00pm at the Azzurri complex.
