Tiahrt tries to move up – but hopefully out!

Rep. Todd Tiahrt is planning to make a try at taking the place of Senator Sam Brownback, once the seat is vacant. It was announced Jan. 29, in The Wichita Eagle:

Tiahrt to announce 2010 plan Saturday
Associated Press
TOPEKA - U.S. Rep. Todd Tiahrt plans to announce Saturday what his political plans are for 2010.
Signs already point to a run for the U.S. Senate.
Tiahrt's campaign said today that he will announce his plans at 11 a.m. at a Topeka hotel where fellow Republicans are gathering for an annual meeting.”

On the positive side of this, Tiahrt may lose and we will finally be rid of one of Kansas most corrupt conservatives holding office. The Wichita Eagle has also reported that opinion polls gave Rep. Jerry Moran, of the first district, who also plans to run for that seat, a sizable lead. Moran is a conservative, but not as dumb or corrupt as Tiahrt is.
Flush that Tiahrt Down the drain.♪♫
